Swirling Circles Delaunay Wool Scarf

This 190 cm long and 70 cm wide bowl made of wool with a small amount of silk comes in wonderful colors - and with a detail from the painting »Estaque« by André Derain (1880-1954). He painted this Fauvist style picture in 1905 with oil paints on canvas. It is privately owned today. L'Estaque is literally a picturesque seaside town in Marseille that was once a fishing village. Derain painted there numerous landscapes of the port, the sea, boats, buildings and plants.
